Barren County Drug Court

An incarceration diversion program targeting first-time offenders with no previous violent history or manufacturing charge. Offenders are rehabilitated through comprehensive, court-monitored treatment methods that ensure accountability, break the cycle of addiction-based crime and return graduates to the community with new skills. Community Action Too Good for Drugs

Works to build self-efficacy in children in order to reduce the probability of substance abuse in low-income families. Educational emphasis includes the dangers of substance abuse, how to resist peer pressure and making good decisions. In addition to the children in the program, education will also be provided to parents concerning recognizing risk factors, warning signs and how to build self-esteem in children.
