12th Annual Fruit of the Loom/ United Way Golf Tournament Raises $23,160
for United Way of Southern Kentucky
Bowling Green, KY – On Saturday, September 10th, Fruit of the Loom held its 12th Annual United Way Golf Tournament raising $23,160 for United Way of Southern Kentucky. This year’s total surpasses the previous year’s tournament by almost $2,000. The tournament reached the maximum number of participants allowed with 136 individuals teeing off at CrossWinds Golf Course in Bowling Green, KY.
George Fields, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Fruit of the Loom says, “The annual Fruit of the Loom/ United Way Golf Tournament is a fun way for our company, employees and vendor partners to show our support for our community. We know that the proceeds from the tournament will be used effectively and efficiently to help those who need help most through United Way. Based on the level of participation and increase in total dollars raised, this year’s tournament can be deemed a great success for both Fruit of the Loom and United Way.”

The winning team of Laura McCaslin, Matt Corbett, Mark Stamps and Jon Dennis each received a trophy and gift certificates.
