Community Medical Care started helping Mr. Ray in 2007. After meeting the Barren County senior, he shared with me that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He was taking several medicines that his Medicare Part D did not cover. The medicines were not only for his cancer but also for other health problems including diabetes. Some co-payments were as small as $5.00 and 6 were $35.00 each. We were able to assist Mr. Ray with obtaining vouchers to help with his prescriptions.
He has told me several times he didn't know what he would do without us helping.
We also purchased Mr. Ray a pair of discount prescription glasses after making him an appointment at a local optometrist.
He has always been so appreciative of the help. He has told me several times he didn’t know what he would do without us helping. He always has a smile.
One day he bragged on his pride and joy and wanted to show me a picture. I expected a picture of his grandkids.
Instead I was shown a picture of Pride Detergent and Joy Dish Washing Liquid.
