United Way understands that you really want to make a difference right here in the Southern Kentucky. We want to help you do that.
Incorporated as a charitable non-profit entity in 1956, United Way of Southern Kentucky has long served a major role in the community by bringing people together to create opportunities that make a measurable difference in the quality of life for people where they live and work.
Here in Southern Kentucky, United Way is focused on critical issues including youth development, poverty, literacy, senior services, substance abuse, personal abuse, and physical & developmental disabilities.
It takes the whole community working together to reach our goals in these areas. United Way brings together people from all across the community — people from government, business, faith groups, nonprofits and everyday citizens. If it requires fundraising or just getting people to work together, that’s what we do.
United Way of Southern Kentucky is the leader in bringing together the resources to build a stronger, more caring community.
In short, the United Way exists to advance the common good.
To accomplish this, the United Way
1) Focuses Resources
2) Provides Solutions
